Origins is a friendly and supportive school, spread over three campuses, located within a mile of each other and catering from Playgroup till O levels. We are registered with CAIE (Cambridge Assessment International Education), aligning our curriculum with the British National Curriculum in the primary years, followed by the Cambridge Secondary 1 program, leading up to O Levels.
We believe that childrens' needs come first and we aim to help every child achieve their full potential in a welcoming and caring environment. By sharing high expectations and working and learning together, we believe that we can provide quality education, resulting in confident, caring young people who have firm foundations for their future success.
The Origins philosophy is that each student is a worthy human being and a necessary partner in a program established for his/ her future in a democratic society. The school provides positive direction in an academic environment that offers the individual intellectual, moral, athletic, aesthetic and social opportunity.
Our vision is for students, parents, staff and community to work together to ensure students graduate from Origins as civically minded, independent learners, with career ready skills.
The primary goal of Origins in the admissions process is to help each family find the perfect match. We recognize that we may not be the perfect match as a school for every family. The admissions process is a chance for us to get to know each other. We are not here to convince prospective families that our school is right for them. We actively encourage families to consider the many school options available. Our goal is to present our program truthfully, help families grasp the nature of our school and what we have to offer, and allow them to weigh all the factors out as they consider whether our school is indeed the right match for them.
When we admit a new student, we are not simply bringing him or her into the school community. We are bringing a student and his family into the mix. In making admissions decisions, we normally give strong preference to families who share common values and goals with the school, and who, after careful consideration and exploration, have concluded that our school is something that they want for their children, for the right reasons.
Children seeking admission to Origins must first be registered with the school. Registrations for the upcoming academic year take place every Tuesday between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm at the Senior School, which is located at F-47, Block 4, Clifton (opposite Sania Maskatiya and Café Flo). A copy of the child's birth certificate needs to be submitted at the time of registration. Registrations for the current academic year are subject to seat availability. Contact the school for further information regarding the current availability of seats in a particular age group.
Parent interviews are held in January/ February for children being admitted to the playgroup/ pre-nursery classes at the beginning of the upcoming academic year, in August. For admission to Nursery classes and onwards, children are called in for an assessment. Those that clear the assessment, will then be called in for a parent/ child interview.
