Origins is a friendly and supportive school, spread over three campuses, located within a mile of each other and catering from Playgroup till O levels. We are registered with Cambridge, aligning our curriculum with the British National Curriculum in the primary years, followed by the Cambridge Secondary 1 program, leading up to O Levels.
We believe that childrens' needs come first and we aim to help every child achieve their full potential in a welcoming and caring environment. By sharing high expectations and working and learning together, we believe that we can provide quality education, resulting in confident, caring young people who have firm foundations for their future success.
The Origins philosophy is that each student is a worthy human being and a necessary partner in a program established for his/ her future in a democratic society. The school provides positive direction in an academic environment that offers the individual intellectual, moral, athletic, aesthetic and social opportunity.
Our vision is for students, parents, staff and community to work together to ensure students graduate from Origins as civically minded, independent learners, with career ready skills.
At origins, we welcome families who share our values of kindness, curiosity, and a love for learning. Our admissions process is warm, transparent, and child-centred, beginning with registration, followed by parent interaction and where appropriate a friendly, informal meeting with the child to understand their readiness and comfort. For older students, an assessment in English and Math will be conducted to help us determine the right level of support and placement. Admission decisions are guided by seat availability, the child’s overall development, previous school records, and alignment with the school community. We recognise that every child’s journey is unique and remain flexible in considering individual circumstances.
Children seeking admission to Origins must first be registered with the school. Registrations take place on weekdays between 9:00 am and 12:00 pm at the Senior School, which is located at F-47, Block 4, Clifton (opposite Sania Maskatiya and Eggspectation). A copy of the child's birth certificate needs to be submitted at the time of registration. Registrations for the current academic year are subject to seat availability. Contact the school for further information regarding the current availability of seats in a particular age group.
Parent interviews are held in December/ January for children being admitted to the playgroup/ pre-nursery classes of the upcoming academic year, in August. For admission to Nursery classes and onwards, children are called in for an assessment and parent/ child interview.
